Getting Things: To stay living, you must first get some food and water. You'll also need stone to make simple tools and wood to build things and make fire.
Making things: Make useful things like knives and hoes out of raw materials. Make a simple place to stay first. Then, build a fire to stay warm and cook food to keep from getting sick.
Find Things That Are Hidden: There are many hidden things on this island. You can find weird things and new, better ways to make things in places you might not expect.
Getting away from danger: Stay away from wild animals and make sure that neither your hunger nor your thirst bars ever go below 0.
Get the water ready to drink first. You can handle being hungry for a while, but you'll die faster if you're thirsty. Do what you can to keep the water clean.
As you build quickly at first, don't worry about too many things. Right away, build a small cover so you can spend the night without worrying about being attacked by birds of prey.
Fire will help you. There's more to building a fire than just staying warm. Wildlife stays away at night, and meat is safer to eat.
Don't be afraid of dying a lot in those games. Every time you fail, you learn something new about where to look for useful things or dangerous animals. Do better next time after you remember what you did wrong.
